    I have been lurking in these forums for quite a bit now, but I would like to say hello to all the great members of this board in a more official capacity. I'm Jeremy from Sana Security, and I manage what's known as Security Practices--what's called security response/research in many other companies. Hopefully I will be able to shed some light on our products and perhaps more generally on being on this side of the fight against malware. Thanks!

    Yes, please.

    Customer support from your company even through official channels have been scarce. I'll start off with one question: how much of Symantec's own technology and logistics go into AntiBot, or is it no more than a repackaged version of PRSC, with Sana Security providing everything behind it?

    Thanks.

    That's what I'm here to change :)

    The detection engine, removal engine, and backend have all been developed by Sana Security. For Norton AntiBot, Symantec developed the UI, customer support, and technical support. We have a great relationship with them, and frankly I'm really quite proud that our company can handle 'drinking from the firehose'.

    I don't want to trivialize NAB in any way, while the security benefits between PRSC and NAB are basically equivalent, NAB was released in 12 languages. It has been an exciting challenge--especially analyzing german/chinese/japanese malware--so I'm just a little hesitant to call it 'repackaging'.

    Thanks!

    :D

    NAB Security == PRSC Security
    NAB everything else != PRSC everything else

    Thanks for the reply.

    Now knowing that R&D behind your program isn't split between two companies (with all the usual problems), I'll see if I can find time to try AntiBot again sometime.

    It is always nice to see how developers or product responsibles come to wilders. Is part of what makes this forum great.

    I hope this opportunity help both us users and developers, welcome to Wilders!
