Maybe I'm missing it somewhere in Options (or in the message window itself), but is there a setting to, by default, not save copies of sent messages? I don't normally send except when replying to someone else, and don't want or need to save it. And a no-save option would cut my (admittedly minor) cleanup in half.

    Hi Mike,

When you're creating a new PM to send out, or replying to a PM, scroll down below the text box and you'll see the 'Additional Options' section. There you'll see a line that says "Save a copy of this message in your Sent Items folder" with a checked box beside it. The check is placed in the box by default, so if you choose not to save a copy of the PM to your Send Items Folder, you'll have to remember to manually remove the checkmark from that box each time you send or reply to a PM.

    Hope that helps, :)

    Regards,

    snap

Thanks, snap -- but I'm still lost. Under Additional Options, all I see is:

    Miscellaneous Options
    Show your signature
    Automatically parse links in text
    Disable smilies in text
    Attach Files
Valid file extensions: gif jpg log png txt
    Thread Subscription
    Notification Type:

Maybe it has something to do with my choice of forum skin? (I use forum default)

(Edit) Probably past my bedtime -- you meant the IM box, not the forum-posting box, right?
