Save me trial & error time you guys. Have Bitdefender but it does not offer an exemption list. Which AVs offer this -

i.e. "Hey Mr AV, keep your nose out of these listed folders. Do not delete, do not quarantine. Nothing to see here. Move along."

BitDefender only allows exclusion once it has detected something and you can exclude that file out.

avast!, AVG, AVIRA, MSE, these all have exclusions. I'm not 100% for Panda Cloud but i think it also has them.

ZoneAlarm AV offers exclusions and Kaspersky products too and most others.
It may be faster to list the ones that DO NOT offer exclusions like WSA.

WSA does have an option to manually allow or block specific programs (not directories though).

WSA will quarantine and remove detections right away, which can be a problem. You can get them back in quarantine and restoring them adds them to the allow list. I found a bug with restoring a little while ago and Joe said he will have that fixed by version 2014 which will be out in a few weeks.

I grabbed myself a free 1 year sub to AVG AV pro. I'm impressed.

WSA isn't even free, don't know why it has to be mentioned everywhere.

As for saving time, you'll find that BitDefender Free is an exception, not the rule.

WSA does have exceptions, and can be set where it does not automatically quarantine or delete.
