I am using Acronis Home Image ver. 10. My OS system(XP PRO) is set up using a SATAII on JMicron Gigabyte chipset. If I try to use the the Recovery Manager at bootup, all goes ok until the target drives appear...the SATA II drive does not show, only those drives that are on the Intel chipset using IDE. Why is it not seeing the SATA!! HD?

Most likely there is no Linux driver for your SATA drive. You may want to try a BartPE disk Begginer's Guide to Creating a BartPE CD with one of Mustang's BartPE Plugins. BartPE uses windows drivers.

    Hello Dirtnapper,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

First of all, please make sure you use the latest build (4942) of Acronis True Image 10.0 Home. To get access to updates you should first register your software.

If the issue persists with the latest build, please create Acronis True Image Bootable CD, boot your computer form it and create Acronis Report and Linux system information (sysinfo.txt) as it is described in Acronis Help Post. Then submit a request for technical support. Attach all the collected files and information to your request along with the step-by-step description of the actions taken before the problem appears and the link to this thread. We will investigate the problem and try to provide you with a solution.

P.S. thomasjk's suggestion can also be useful. Using BartPE-based bootable CD with Acronis True Image plug-in for BartPE allows you to boot the computer into a Windows-like environment loading the appropriate drivers for any hardware devices installed in the computer at startup.

Acronis True Image plug-in for BartPE comes with the Acronis True Image installation and can be found in the
    \Program Files\Acronis\TrueImageHome\BartPE folder.

    Thank you.
