I do believe that anything inside a sandbox will not hurt me so everything
that I download go into one folder, a forced folder. Most downloads are
large 450MB Videos, old Latin American soap operas from the 80s and 90s
that my wife likes to watch. I don't know if anybody ever seen a video
that large be infected but I never have. Anyway, most videos get deleted
after using. I also download PDF files, they always open sandboxed.
If I am going to install something, I never get the installer from a dubious
place, only from the developers site or File hippo. I always upload them to
Virus Total, Jotties and most of the time I also run a HMP scan.
I go to the same places that I use to go when I use to get infected,
the difference is, that it does not happen anymore.

Usually ONCE during every six month cycle, something was not detected
by the AV, infecting my computer. A few days later, when the AV got the
signature, the virus got detected. It was once every six month not six in
    the six month period.

Sandboxie puts a stop to the cycle, that makes me a believer. :D

Not with Experimental Protection. It wasn't comparable anyways.

Yes, the new experimental protection mechanism is obviously the only real match for the 32-bit protection.. but it goes without saying that the 64-bit protection had several potential flaws without drop my rights.

FWIW, the 64-bit protection with drop my rights still worked reasonably well..
