I was noticing that my rss reader (newzcrawler) uses the internet explorer rendering engine. I was wondering if that makes it vulnerable to the same weaknesses that internet explorer itself suffers from. I use newzcrawler everyday to keep up with the latest goings-on of many websites, so I want to keep it secure, hence i'm wondering if I should sandbox it, or if this would be overkill.

Advices appreciated, and if you want, tell of some applications you run sandboxed, and why you choose to do so.

    Thanks in advance

I don't think it would be over kill. I run all browsers sandboxed, and also Outlook, as I never know what may be in clients email. Also if I am unsure of what I download, I may right click it and run it sandboxed.
