    Windows 7 64-bit

IE 9 worked ok. IE 10 does outside of Sandboxie. But not in Sandboxie!

    Here are the errors...

    SBIE1151 Cannot handle instruction FE77753E: D9,89,54,24,40,4C,89,44,24,48,83,64
    SBIE2303 Could not hook ChangeServiceConfig2W (2)
SBIE2318 DLL initialization failed for 'sechost.dll'
    SBIE1151 Cannot handle instruction 77BAF87E: 3E,FF,FF,FF,48,83,C4,38,C3,90,90,90
SBIE2303 Could not hook SetWindowsHookExW (2)
SBIE2318 DLL initialization failed for 'user32.dll'

Anyone else seeing anything like this??

    EDIT
Sorry, I meant to mention Windows 7. Now corrected.

Not with IE10 on Windows 8, works fine. Have not tried the combination on Windows 7. I can check it at work tomorrow.

Which version of SBIE do you use?

There are a couple of known conflicts with SBIE, IE10 and other security software (Avast! for example). What else are you using?

Also may want to try latest beta to see if its fixed but be warned there are still issues with chrome on that build.

    Cheers

Chris, you hit the nail on the head! I do run Avast 7. My Sandboxie version is 3.76.

I guess I'll make an image and then give version 4 a spin. Should I uninstall version 3 first?

Running Sandboxie 3.76 on Windows 7 x64 with IE10 and MSE no issues. It must be the Avast as stated.

You should be able to either remove 3.76 or update to 4.0 over the top. I have done both without issue.

    Thanks for the update!

I think I'll probably uninstall v 3 before moving up. I understand v 4 is a complete re-write of Sandboxie. Seems like a fresh start would be better...

Whenever I upgrade SBIE, I always do it over the top without any issues, thats what I did to try version 4.01.02. As Chris said, there are issues with the beta so I recommend you try it on your VM and post about the issues you find in the SBIE forum.

After seeing the new Avast 8 (and all it's bloated glory), I have decided to ditch it for MSE. So now all is well with Sandboxie 3.76 and I will wait until a final release version of 4.

    Don't think it is Avast.
Right now running win 7 x64, Avast 8, Sandboxie 3.76.
Have run that combination since Avast 8 came out w/ no problems.
But today I let windows update itself and included ie 10.
All of a sudden Sandboxie didn't work.
Did a system restore, then had to reinstall Avast & Sandboxie.
Now all is well running the original setup described in line 2.
There were 6 important updates offered, one of them was ie 10, and I think it is the problem.
I plan to install the updates one at a time and if all goes well just hide ie 10.
    Anybody else have this situation?

login123 I am running Sbie 3.76 on Win7 64bit and have applied the IE10 update.

    No problems with Sbie.

As bo elam points out, it seems to be an avast issue.

Running SB 3.76 on Win 7 with NOD and IE 10 just updated a few days ago works fine (when tested). I don't normally run it.

Thank you for the help. Very much.
Guess it is an Avast issue.

    Edit:
Fwiw, On win 7 x64, ie9 32 bit runs fine with Sandboxie + Avast, ie9 64 bit gives an error similar to ie 10.
Guess I'll wait for the SBIE fix before adopting ie 10.

I've had issues running Firefox 19.0.2 sandboxed with 3.76 after updating from Avast free v.7 to v.8.
In my case the problem was solved by unchecking the browser boxes under Avast; Security; Antivirus; Script Shield; Settings; Main settings; Firefox/Chrome.
With 'Script Shield' enabled, Firefox simply refused to load, Chrome would load sandboxed but slooooow.
With Avast 'Script Shield' for both Firefox and Chrome unchecked, no more issues.

I'm trying to launch IE 10 on Win 8 x64 outside Sandboxie 4.01.04. I get this error message:

    SBIE2308 Could not create object directory: [11 / 00000018]
    SBIE2206 Failed processing AutoExec setting -2 [C0000022]
    SBIE2309 Could not disable COM+/DCOM: [21 / C0000022]
    SBIE2312 Could not enable BrowseNewProcess setting: [99 / C0000001]
SBIE2203 Failed to communicate with Sandboxie Service: connect C0000022
    SBIE2203 Failed to communicate with Sandboxie Service: RPCSS_SXS - rundll32.exe [C0000080]
    SBIE2203 Failed to communicate with Sandboxie Service: *GUIPROXY_00000003 - rundll32.exe [C0000080]
    SBIE2205 Service not implemented: Win32Init.2 (00000000)
    SBIE2205 Service not implemented: GdiInit.C0000017

Serious glitch? Sandboxie broke my IE 10.
