same computer problem is NOT gone!

Hello all!

Last time I did get a solution on my hijackthis logfile but the system keeps giving problems with backweb and other stuff according to Spybot S&D

So the rest is OK i take it?

Strange, I find all kinds of stuff in the network section of the configuration screen, like bridges and stuff.
Any idea where those are for?
Can they be deleted?
It's a stand alone pentium 4 with XP home
I went there to connect him to the KPN ADSL network but the connection keeps being disconnected after the PC is turned off and back on again after a little while. I'm puzzled but not so sure about this network stuff.

Any idea;s are welcome!

Hi Pieter, Yes the system had firewaire installed but it is not used. as far as i know.
The pc now has no sound anymore. The man has all kind of stuuf attached to that computer for music making, he plays electric piano and other keyboards.
Is that where these bridges are for?

Hi Fraha,

XP has the annoying habit of making network cards out of Firewire cards.
You can try disabling the firewire card in Device Manager under Network Adapters.
Then reboot and remove the bridges, if still present.
