Safe Email and OS services choice , what would you preffer ?

What is your vision regarding safe Email services: what options are you using and what would be your choice to create secure email services ?

Is there any companies that you would recommend ?

As I was looking for safe choices and have found interesting decision :

www.valeso.com they are using their own email client others providers are offering only web based services.

But also this soft wouldn't be enough for security if computers OS has holes in it ( lets say like windows OS ) , so I have also a question :

Or has somebody tried to build your own safe system (Like: Virtual Private Server + VPN + Modified OS ) or maybe had used some company services ?

From free OS systems have found that Tails OS for anonymity works quite well. Also PCBSD looks quite safe choice.

 

Riseup.net email and linux mint KDE. But if you want 100% privacy then you got to unplug your computer from the internet.
