running WF and third-party fw together

    I know that doing this may cause various conflicts - especially with Zone Alarm - but does anybody know for sure one way or the other if doing this can adversely affect either firewall's ability to block bad stuff? - in other words, could it make you worse off from a purely security standpoint? (I currently have Sygate AND WF enabled with no apparent problems) o_O

    accordind to microsoft they recomend that if you use a third party firewall that the windows firewall be disabled to prevent what could be serious conflicts that could affect both firewalls. they will both fight for the same resources on the computer that could cripple both firewalls the conflicts might not be visibly apparant but run deep in the core of the OS.
