Run allowed applications only

    We can set up such policy configuration with Windows Domain policy based functionality (from the old poledit.exe that came from NT4 Domain to present Windows Domain based products), that will allow user to run only allowed applications.

    In other words we can set up such policy, that user is to be able to run word, excel and email client for example. When he wants to run other software, then relevant denying message will show up.

    Is it possible to achieve such result with ESET products, I mean ESET Smart Security or ESET NOD32 software (stable or beta versions).

    I don't it can. AVs in general are designed to block malware
