run a dll as an app ?

    For some time now i will often get PG asking permission to run a dll as an app when opening certain programs...................i will always get it when i attempt to open anything in Control Panel............this all began after receiving an XP update about a month ago.......................is this o.k. to allow o_O

    Do you know the name of the .DLL that is trying to fire up?

    Sounds like you recently changed it to 'allow once'. Yes, it's normal for everything in the control panel to bring up that alert. You'll also see it a couple times during boot, and when you eject or insert a CD.

    This actually got a little annoying for me.. Online Armor actually handles those without having to 'allow once' each time rundll32 is used.. just found that one out recently :)
