Would this be RTD-short for Real Time Defender?
I believe that would be the old Pro Security.

Yes in name, but no in product. RTD Smart is a different beast. I tried it some time back in hopes that it would replace RTD Professional. Personally didn't like it. Best I remember, one had very little control over it after the initial setup.

So someone else is developing it.

Same people that released RTD Professional. If I remember right, it's a spin off of RTD Pro with less user involvement after the initial setup/scan.

RTD pro is a top notch hips program, imo the best after MD.

However I once tried the Smart version and was different, required less user interaction, not the typical classic hips that I prefer personally.

It was posted as a Beta before, I did not got it playing.

When I recal it correctly it is a HIPS somewhere between

    - Online Armour's white and blocklist of system processes, and
    - DefenseWall like policy management based HIPS for threat gates/new untrusted processes.

But does it remember your choices now. Could you try with IE8 and Keyscrambler free for IE?

    Thx
