    Hi All,
The new build is coming along and is approaching two important testing phases:

    1. Limited external
    2. General public

The first phase listed is the most important as we prepare to move out of the lab and walled gardens of our test systems on the road to the final release for the next generation of RSS. While we work diligently to simulate the most common types of setups, this still leaves a gap in determining whether the upgrades and cumulative bug fixes are ready for prime time with the general public.

To this end, we are putting out a call for experienced testers who are willing to kick the tires (very hard ;) ) on the new build when we move to the limited external testing phase. If you have the skills, experience, and time to give it a go, we want to hear from you!

Simply send an e-mail to support (at) returnil (dot) com with the subject "RSS limited beta" with a quick summary of your experience, a valid contact e-mail address, and available versions of Windows you can test with and we will send you the download information with instructions as soon as they are available.

To all those replying, thank you for your support and for helping us in this important part of the development.

    Mike

Any updates on the beta? Thinking of giving Returnil another look.

We are getting closer to the release. At the moment, most known issues have been cleared up but there is still some work to do. Start looking for more information towards the end of the month...

Mike, most all vendors are in newer platform camps now, but will Returnil still fine tune compatibility to satisfy XP users for those who are staying with it untill Windows 8 & 9 begin to become the majority?

I for one don't intend to buy a license for Returnil untill Windows 8 becomes the norm and common place, but wouldn't mind running free release for XP.

    Hi Easter,
The new build will still be XP compatible for the foreseeable future. Our current priorities do however include Windows 8 compatibility.

Sounds just kosher then because i held off following Microsoft's demands this long and so long as at least some current security software developments will continue to accommadate XP, for a little while anyway, all this falls right into step of what i was cautiously anticipating. A transition over to Windows 8 and/or 9 directly from XP.

    Thanks Mike
