any idea who the two scan engines are from?
quite an interesting find i thought

 

finjan has optional av add-ons for along time now, Kaspersky, Sophos or McAfee and one time Symantec, no realtime av on any computers here or at work using finjan's WebSecuritySuite(WSS.) Also include antispyware, antiphishing, crimeware, SSL inspection along with realtime behavior-based and zeroday protection. The finjan NG1100 works well with a small home network.

A lot of money, the appliances, gateways are usually for businesses with many computers, the smaller ng 1100 could handle 1-500 and fortunately the business bought one for me. I'd check out something else unless you have a few grand.

Those ZyXEL look nice with homeplugs (ZyXEL is a fine product - I have one knocking about) I've just installed homeplugs around the house trying to get away from a complete wireless house with all those signals.

If you have a spare machine how about looking into a firewall package, intrusion detection based on something like FreeBSD, linux and add av. It is well worth it if for the knowledge it will give you. I have put together ip cop, m0nowall and smoothwall in the past.
