Say that again. Using RBRx is like walking on eggs. RBRx wouldn't help me, I have to help RBRx. In this thread, I see more unhappy RBRx-users, than happy RBRx-users, so there must be something wrong with it.
It would be very interesting to know how many complaints HDS gets every day world-wide. The support of HDS isn't very responsive either according my readings, maybe they don't have the time anymore to answer due to the number of complaints. One problem causes always another problem. :)

If a lot of data has been added and/or deleted from a snapshot, then the new one can take some time. With the other product, some took 20 seconds some 2 minutes and that is what I figured out. Not a big deal though.

Still seems a long time, I have 7 on my Vista machine, and 12 seconds has been the longest snapshot time, that was when I installed SP1, 3 seconds before that, So...:doubt: It could be that.

I also found that some AVs will slow the process down over others. Why, I have no idea, but that is a fact.

Well I have no avs installed. Installed vista took snapshot. saved other snapshots over time. Then installed sp1 update and took snapshot. Now almost every time two and a half minute restores. Not a huge deal but way longer than my 5 second restores previously.

    Thanks,

    Chris

I agree. in fact, Rollback is a OEM product from a chinese company. it is a unsuccessful product here.

It is a kind of product when you heard about it you want to buy but after few days/weeks you want to get a refund. not only refund the money but also want to refund the important data you lost.

Many companies do not offer any refund. They say use the trial first because there are no refunds. Luckily HDS offers them at all.

    Thanks,

    Chris

I'm not sure what you mean. "Special Information to downloadable products:
Downloadable products are not covered by this right to withdrawal.
" That means that you can not get a refund on downloadable products. To me sounds like they are being nice giving any money back.

    Thanks,

    Chris

    "Important:
If you paid for your order by credit card, the full amount will be refunded to your credit card account."

Dont see the 15 percent handling fee mentioned here.

Of course not because if you downloaded the product you have no right to withdraw. That means you have no right to a refund. Only if you bought boxed software you can get a refund.

    Thanks,

    Chris

you are entitled to doubt whatever you want. i do have a small advantage...i was there. i saw the error message that Rollback generated after 99% completion of the uninstall. i experienced not being able to access Windows because my system could no longer detect my drive.

i too liked HDS, the speed is what i recall mainly. but i learned the hard way HDS can bite you, and bite you hard.

If more developers were willing to take up the torch on rollback apps/ISR's i bet we would find better releases and far less issues.

Just my 2 cents worth because competition has a way of lighting a fire under procrastination and is a great inspiration in some circles to keep pace.

as far as i know the "build" is only for protection against crackers.
i install old ver of EF (8.1 builld old) and during install its check for new updated files... and say nothing is new and i am upto date....

so its 8.1 eventually :D and unsafe to use like all 8.1 builds

    cheers ;)

I have used Rollback Rx 8.1 Pro and
    now, EAZ-FIX 8.1 Pro
    without ANY Problem!

Compared to Rollback Rx, EAZ-FIX is slightly improved
but this is not a huge issue.

Yep, we all heard that one before. Not to discourage youe confidence in them or anything but i would wait at least a few months to a year before jumping with excitement that those products are without any problems.

Theres been way too many disaster posts over them to get all worked up over them working ok right now.

well in many industries, business models that is indeed the noble thing to do. but Horizon Systems bought their main competition, ~Comment removed - Ron~ and then gutted it, just to ensure it no longer is competition. they took the easy, shortsighted process to stabilize their own offering in the market space. it may work for some/most folks, but i'll not buy from them again. no one wins.
