For restoring a system partition image, the software asks me for rebooting in dos mode. I press the Reboot-Button and Acronis reboots the system in the dos mode.
Now: Why must i repeat all the settings, witch i have done already in Windows?

    >Testet with True Image 9, and True Image 8 Enterprise<

For example the Norton Ghost Software, the restore process works automatically:
    1. Configure Norton Ghost in Windows for restoring the system partition.
    2. Norton reboots the system in Norton Dos Mode, by pressing one button.
    3. Norton restores the image automatically in Norton Dos Mode.
    4. Norton reboots the system automatically.

    best regards
    pls

    Hello pls100,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

Please be aware that we have already received similar requests from other Acronis customers and they have already been forwarded to our Development Team. The system partition restoration procedure will certainly be simplified\improved in the future versions\builds of a particular product, but exact time frame for this is not decided yet.

If you want us to change the behaviour of Acronis True Image in any way or add some new features to this product, please feel free to post any of your suggestions in Acronis True Image WISH-LIST thread.

If you have any further questions concerning Acronis software, please feel free to submit a request for technical support or post any of them on this forum. We will certainly try to help you in resolving any issues.

    Thank you.

I am one of the customers who has requested an improvement for this.

Once you accept that's the way it is for now, the easiest solution is to immediately restart with the standalone TI CD and then do the data entry to restore the system image rather than doing the useless steps in Windows.
