restore problem

Hello,I've bought IT8 few days ago and I want to restore the full back-up I created on my external hard disk 160giga because I've some problems with windows XP.When I try to restore,IT8 says: 'The logical disk you have chosen is currently in use.So,I must close all the progams using this disk,but there are too many programs and I don't know how to close them.

Have you created a "Rescue CD"? Use this to restore your primary partition.

 

Hello,John, I have tried with the rescue CD and when I boot on it,my back-up disk (where my back-up is: M:\SAUVEGARDE\sauvegarde4\MyBackup(1).tib
'sauvegarde' means 'backup' in french!) have now the letter F instead of M and is called: RECOVER instead of recovery.When I double click on it,in the file name, I have: F:\RECOVER\ and the option 'next' is disabled (light gray).
So I can do nothing more.What"s wrong? Thanks a lot, emile curate
