Doofus that I am I had not backed up for some time.
    As per here: https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=123146

I suspect I have done some damage!!

I have been trolling along trying to figure out if I can recover with FDISR

If I save a snapshot now, can I reinstall my XP and then salvage all my setup :(

I really do not want to have to save all the data and reinstall everything

    Any suggestions?
    Thankyou.

Todd may have an idea, but taking a snapshot now will be exactly the same as your corrupt setup. Had you taken a snapshot prior to what you did you'd have already fixed the problem. I am not sure I see anyway a snapshot of a bad system can help you at this point. Maybe others might have some idea's.

    Thanks

Was able to restore with selective uninstalls and turning off various protections then using ERUNT file from 2 weeks prior :)

    Lucky,lucky lucky.

BIG reminder to have valid back-up of some sort in place.
