    Re: Spyware Blaster 2.6.1

For some reason, I never get spyware on my PC, but my friend gets a LOT, so I recommended SpywareBlaster to him. He installed it and found that the number decreased significantly.

He ran Ad-Aware which found four tracking cookies which SpywareBlaster apparently did not recognize. Is there a way to notify SpywareBlaster of these so they can add them to the list?

    Thanks, Javacool

Here's a severely edited copy of AdAware's report. If you need more information, let me know - he gets three to four of these every day (same ones) after using IE so he's able to send me a full report any day.

AdAware found four tracking cookies in his C:\Windows\cookies folder:

You didn't mention what browser you're using (or maybe I missed it).

If it's IE6, take a look at the "privacy" settings in internet options (specifically, the individual-sites button at the bottom). I believe all of the cookies you mentioned are covered by SB -- but if they've ever been manually approved I think my understanding is that that would over-ride SB settings for them.

    Thanks, Mike ...

I did mention that he's using IE, but I neglected to state the version which I won't know until I can contact him. I'll follow your instructions to see what his manually-approved list looks like.

Not using IE myself, I wasn't aware of that Privacy sheet.
