No problems one either of my machines....(so far) Running a 9800XT and X800 Pro, both using the CATALYST 5.4's for Windows XP.

    Re: NOD32 2.5 final unveiled

Catalyst 5.1 with the Catalyst Control Center. Which means I also have Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 installed.

Absolutely no rendering issues, again this is with an ATI 9800 Pro 128MB.

    Re: NOD32 2.5 final unveiled

OK, From what I see, izi runs a 9100Pro and Hammer runs a 9200.

Both of these cards are DirectX 8.1 compliant. GeForce FX and GeForce 6 are DirectX 9-compliant, as well as Radeon 9500 and up.

What this could possibly mean is that this problem is occurring on ATI's DirectX 8.1 compliant units. So, most likely users with this problem would have a Radeon 8500, 9000, 9100, or 9200 series graphics card. Possibly others with this problem could have a GeForce3 or a GeForce4 Titanium (DirectX 8 complaint NVIDIA chips)

BigC's intel chip is DX7 compliant, therefore this issue should not happen for GeForce4 MX and GeForce2 (and Radeon 7500) series.

So, if what I am thinking is correct, this bug only occurs for ATI's DirectX 8 cards so far. There is a chance NVIDIA's DX8 cards also may have this problem, but we do not have any proof yet.

Reinstalled a third time... here's what the skin now looks like.

As I said, this is the only app that does not render correctly. Laptop has a Mobility 9000. Matrox card reported on the SpySweeper FP thread (which is still not fixed I might add) was probably DX 7/8 compliant, so there might be some truth to the non DX9 card issue.

Have to check my desktop X850XT on it.

Maybe Eset should test this out with GeForce3, GeForce4, Radeon 8500-9200 series graphics cards.....

tazdevl, did you try unloading the Eset skin and reloading it again, you can do it from the NOD32 System Tools...unload the skin, save the settings, then reload it and save again.

Where are you getting that skin from? Windows Blinds or something?

I do think the DX7/8 card theory might have some validity.

Thanks for the suggestion FC, didn't know you could unload the skin.

I'm using the standard XP interface... Luna. No skinning software or anything of the like.

I think the skin just unloaded itself in the screenshot above. I know I didn't do anything.

After starting Control Center, under NOD32 System Tools, click on 'NOD32 System Setup'. Then In the right side display, click 'Setup' and on the 'General' Tab, you will find it (There is a checkbox for using Eset custom graphical interface).

I'm having the same problem, just for confirmation.

ATI Radeon 9200 Mobility with latest drivers from Compaq (I think based on 5.2)

I've just turned of the GUI... and noticed a 2MB drop in RAM usage... :) Oh well, I'll wait for an update on this.

    Re: NOD32 2.5 final unveiled

Sorry for double posting, but after posting the original I thought this thread would get more attention:

Has the white squares at the top of the GUI (ie. missing graphics) problem been solved ?

EDIT: Missed this thread when I posted originally. I had problems with ATI Mobility Radeon 9000 and Catalyst 5.4

I'm running an X800 XT Platinum Edition with the latest ATI Drivers (Cat. 5.4) and don't have any GUI problems with the 2.50.16 release (or the .09 beta for that matter).

I was previously using the trial version 2.12.4 and had no problem then.

This issue can probably be observed only in 32-bit color mode.

on my wife's machine, running a Matrox Millennium G550 with latest available drivers, the problem is NOT present in 16-bit, NOT present in 32-bit, but IS present in 24-bit.

    Re: NOD32 2.5 final unveiled

I dont suppose the others had a problem with v2.12, either :)

BTW, FireGL based on X600 core is DX9, Radeon 9600SE is DX9, Radeon X800 series is DX9, and Matrox G550 is DX7.

Again it seems the problems are confined to non-DX9-compliant cards....

I have never had any visual rendering problems at all.

Firecat, you may be correct, it looks that way so far.

Does anyone know if other antivirus apps have rendering problems with the video cards mentioned as being problematic? Such as Norton , Trend, McAfee etc.

    McAfee does have problems sometimes.

I had a GeForce4 MX 440-8X some time back, and TrendMicro ran well, no problems.

I think you should wait a bit - The interface is not even half the AV, you know ;)

Let this issue be investigated - maybe there will be a fix...
