I recently bought Nero 7 Ultra, however I do not like the Nero Scout icon it adds to the My computer view, so my question is there a way to remove it?

just right click it and delete it if you are sure you don't want it.

I guess I didn't really specify exactly what I meant, its within the My Computer explorer window, I know there must be a registry entry to remove things from it somewhere?

    have note of the following:

delete the following key in regedit:
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\MyComputer\NameSpace\{3D6BE802-FC0D-4595-A304-E611F97089DC}]

    or

Copy and paste the following line into the Run Command window and press Enter.

    regsvr32 /u "C:/Program Files/Common Files/Ahead/Lib/MediaLibraryNSE.dll"

Close and re-open Windows Explorer and the Nero Scout is gone

    :)

Ah, thanks, I didn't know what registry entry or what module was doing it, and I hate having extra things under the My Computer view.
