Stability:

* Fixed a number of rare system crashes reported by customers, and related to virtual system, virtual disk, virtual file manager
* Fixed system crash due to incompatibility with Microsoft Security Essentials on Windows XP
* Fixed system crash when a file is pasted in a remote console opened via Remote Desktop Protocol
* Fixed CPU spikes and service crashes during network communication activity
* Fixed system crash when some parts of the product have been removed manually before running the uninstaller
* Fixed service crash when quick scan is started
* Fixed installation failure when some required windows standard directories do not exist

Remote Client Management:

* Notify user when remote command has been received but ignored by the product, specifying the reason

Usability:

* Added help in German language
* Open web survey on the Returnil site when the product is uninstalled
* Updated translations to include latest GUI text changes
* Link to Returnil website added to Start Menu

Fixed Microsoft WERs: 1689169950, 1700887031

Hi,
Just checked it and will get the Home Lux page sorted as soon as possible. Go ahead and use the download links at MG for the Home Free version. The installer for both is universal (the same) so you should not have any issues upgrading if you have a Home Lux client...

Lux version coming up 3.1.7662.5174

 

Try again in a bit - the servers needed to be updated so should be the right build in about 20 minutes

Is this update also for the free Returnil home edition? If so can I update without uninstalling the previous version first?

 

The installer is universal so is the same for whichever version you are downloading to install (registration determines feature sets/version) and can be installed over your existing RVS 2010 copy.

You must uninstall older versions of the software (RVS LABS, RVS 2008, and older) to upgrade to the 2010 series.

Hi Basic,
The upgrades are free with the following properties:

1. Installation over an existing copy of RVS 2010 or newer will retain your current licensing - IOW, if you have Home Free today, installing the upgrade will result in your new copy being Home Free as well (the same for Lux -> Lux, Classic -> Classic, Enterprise -> Enterprise)

2. If your current subscription has expired, you can still install over your existing copy, but your new copy will default to Unregistered Free until/unless you enter a new License Number or simply register it to be the Home Free version

All versions except Home Classic and Enterprise Classic come with Virus Guard. Of course, it is very easy to disable.

For the time being, yes. We are however working on a new line based strictly on the Labs version as an alternative. It will also include a stand-alone console for networks.

I wasn't able to find a thread for my question so I am posting in here.
I have "Returnil Virtual System 2010 v3.1.8774.5254-REL" but I have a message telling there is an update, when I goto the download sites they all have the same 5254 version.
Where is the new version or if there is not one why am I being told there is?
