    Like i promised :)

Kingsoft Cleanup Tool is a small program that will clean the remaining registry entries and files still left behind by Kingsoft Free Antivirus 2012 uninstaller.

Kingsoft Cloud unfortunately still leaves some garbage behind after uninstallation so this cleanup tool will remove the remaining files and registry entries without digging through folders and registry.

As for the future, i sure hope that Kingsoft team will improve uninstaller so that it will clean everything by itself without the need for my tool.

Well, in the worst case scenario it just won't clean all the files and registry entries. It can't really mess things up because i don't do "heuristic" cleaning or generic cleaning by strings. I did it using fixed registry entries and folders/files. I do use variables in some places (for folders and files cleaning), but that's a very small percentage of all the rules.

I was working on avast! Cleanup Tool for around 6 hours because i had to make everything from ground up. Kingsoft Cleanup Tool took me around 2 hours because i just had to enter what to clean into the "framework" i already made for avast! Cleanup Tool. Tested in VM and then on all my systems. Worked like a charm so it was then released into public :)

What you said in your initial post to clean Kingsoft Free Antivirus 2012. Did you mean it will clear anything to do with Kingsoft?

This is an irresponsible response. My Kingsoft suite was a PAID for app. Now gone. You need fix this app of yours.

I can't do anything with the fact that Kingsoft stuffs antivirus and their Office suite into the same shared folder. Only thing that i can do is add warning that you're not suppose to use it if any other Kingsoft product is still installed on the system.

RejZoR, I agree and user beware
also I would add use at own risk!!

I for one thank you for the two uninstall programs(avast! and Kingsoft AV) you have spent your valuable time on and allowed us to share them!

    Hi RejZoR, it seems not.

And it seems this annoyance can be solved easily:

. Kingsoft folders aren't the same to AV and Office. E.g.:
    ~ AV:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Kingsoft\kingsoft antivirus
    C:\ProgramData\Kingsoft\kip
    C:\ProgramData\Kingsoft\kis
    C:\ProgramData\Kingsoft\ksbw
    C:\ProgramData\Kingsoft\kwfsdata
    ~ Office:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Kingsoft\Kingsoft Office
    C:\ProgramData\Kingsoft\office6
    %AppData%\Kingsoft\office6

    Same in Registry:
    ~ AV:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Kingsoft\Antivirus
    ~ Office:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Kingsoft\Office

Then Kingsoft registry key will still remain, meaning it's pointless to even bother with registry cleaning if you don't do it fully.

It is not pointless registry cleaning Kingsoft AV key - it is a error to clean Kingsoft Office key. Once we are focused in a Cleanup Tool to Kingsoft Anti Virus - not to all Kingsoft Software.

Like with Kingsoft folders - of course.

That doesn't make sense to me. Does some antivirus software look just athe Kingsoft registry key, and from that assume that KAV is installed, no matter what Kingsoft product is installed?

Other antiviruses usually detect other programs using the Programs and Features list, not the separate registry entries added by each AV.

If that is usually the case, why is there the need to remove the entires Kingsoft key, and just entries for KAV?
