    Hi all,

I noticed that each time I install a new program like anti spyware (Spyware blaster, Microsoft Antispyware...) or anti trojan (TDS3) the automatic update starts to bug.

The only way to have it working nicely through NOD 32 re-install.

I thought this was mainly due to my PC Install wich was more than a year old, but I performed a fresh format and XP install this week and the problem persists....

Any idea ? Is it a bug to be fixed in the near future ?

    Thanks for advices

    Tony

What do you mean bug? :) I've had those programs on my machine with no effects using NOD.

I installed the said programs after NOD32 installation. Automatic update doesn't work properly after that. Logs show that it doesn't connect to server after dial-up wheras it did before I installed the new programs.

I had to unsinstall/install NOD32. Now it works fine....

    Kind of "voodoo" illness ?:D

    Yep !!

As I said, everything works fine until I add new antispyware or antimalware...The last soft I installed was TDS3.

As a matetr o fact after I re-install NOD everything goes OK.

Are you able to open our website and ping the update servers at the time you get an error connecting to server?

    Hi Tony64:

This looks like our old friend the Winsock issue. A previous antivirus install can cause these errors. Running the utility found here may eliminate this annoying issue.
