RegRun and UnHackMe and RegRun Warrior are non-free programs by Greatis.
RegRun Reanimator is free of charge for personal (non-commercial) using.
    http://greatis.com/

    RegRun:

    http://greatis.com/security/download.htm
    http://greatis.com/security/news.htm

    UnHackMe:

    http://greatis.com/unhackme/download.htm

    RegRun Warrior:
    http://greatis.com/security/RegRun_Warrior.htm

    RegRun Reanimator:
    http://greatis.com/security/reanimator.html

    ===

Some remarks (see also links above):

    1.
UnHackMe is a stand-alone program but is also part of RegRun Security Suite.
RegRun Security Suite Platinum already contains UnHackMe. Do not install RegRun Platinum and UnHackMe at the same time.

    2.
RegRun Warrior is a bootable CD.

    3.
    RegRun Reanimator:
    What is Reanimator's purpose?
The main purpose of the Reanimator is remote malicious program removal.

    4.
    Greatis has some more programs.
    For example BootRacer:
    http://greatis.com/bootracer/

    ===

    Some more remarks:

    5.
I am not affiliated to Greatis.

    6.
In the past we had separate update threads. Examples:
    https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=342280
    https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=343181
Let's have them now in one thread (for those interested).

  4. Nice on, for references

    a) Includes a startup scanner like NortonPowerErasor/Panda Cloud Cleaner/Emsisoft emergency kit scanner (no idea how Graetis collects foodprints, my guess is info on reverse engineered malware and Virus Total).
    b) Includes a compare saved autorun registry entries like sysinternals autoruns
    c) Includes registry autoruns/autistart protection like Anvir Task Manager (polls every minute for changes)
    d) Includes a malware startup removal tool like Emsisoft's blitzblank
    e) Includes Hijack (unhackme) report like Emsisoft's HijackFree

For the leader of this type of protection, it is not fair to compare its features with companies who have copied some of its innovations. RegRun seems to have lost Wilders Security Community attention due to its 'complex' set of options/programs. When you are into startup protection, I would grab it while it lasts (be sure to allways choose I am uncertain option :D )

    Thanks Siketa, good find :thumb:

For those who didn't know it: Many, many years ago dear old friend Ghery (root) wrote a nice review and it is still available (big Thank You to the board owners):
    https://www.wilderssecurity.com/regrungold.html
Of course you have to keep in mind that it was written so many years ago!
(We miss you Ghery; praying you are OK !).

    Hi Kees,
    When you wrote
isn't it more the Reanimator part of UnHackMe and RegRun you were aiming at? It is that part of the program that you can submit to Greatis for analysis if you want (or you can do it on your own if you know what you are doing).

    Thanks siketa!
    (I have a Platinum licence).

One of the things I have been wondering about: Is RegRun still polling? Isn't for example WinPatrol able to do it in real-time? Am I making a mistake? Am I here on thin ice? Forgive me in case I am

Anyway, I will try to let Dmitry know that we have this thread here.

  10. Yes, I may have oversimplified their product labelling for non-users

  11. Yes but it has a driver supporting the poller, so must be able to remove entries WinPatrol can't touch due to access permission limitations set by the malware. Winpatrol does not prevent setting values, even the 'real time' plus barks after a registry entry is set.

My opinion: it is easy and safe to fix problems using offline tools.
For protection the best way is isolation your work in a virtual machine.

Did this app ever get rid of the baby kindergarden GUI? All I remember of this app was other ARK developers knocking it first, for being nothing more then a fake while at the same rolling in the floor over such an elementary sandlot looking gui and expecting an audience would be so stupid enough to throw some pocket change at it.

I think I was one of the first here to even mention Unhackme and Regrun.

Of course as always everyone knocked it and yes I do remember those
that bashed this work. Where are some of these players now? Last I heard, working for MS?

D was kind enough to give me a free lifetime lic for Unhackme some years ago. He has been loading his drivers before windows for many years.

What kind of GUI would you make to provide simplest navigation for simple users for say REgrun? Next question is Regrun Gold even for simple users?

    Hi FanJ and Easter BTW

Un-Hack Me-Anyone Familiar With This App

Good Evening! My Son mentioned too me that he uses this app. I'm not familiar with it. Seems it was originally meant as an Anti-Rootkit app. But it states on their site it's a full featured A/V...Anti-Malware app. Anybody currently using it,and most importantly how effective is it? Sincerely...Securon

Re: Un-Hack Me-Anyone Familiar With This App

You have to use it with caution,as the user has mostly to decide himself about the actions that have to be taken .
It spits out quite some false positives when scanning,so check carefully before you decide to remove .
If you enable "Partizan" ,your system is protected for rootkits that pre-load before your desktop comes up.
Also, the "Warrior" cd is a great addon,in case your system is infected.....you can run UnhackMe (and update) from that recovery cd.
    I love the program....:D :)

Good Evening! Roady...thanks for your feedback. Is their a free version? Or do you have to purchase the app to obtain full protection? I'm thinking of using it in tandem with WSA Security Plus and AppGuard. Is it compatible with my existing apps? Sincerely...Securon

AFIAK,there's no free version, but you have a 30-day money back guarantee.
I don't know if you have read this page: http://www.greatis.com/unhackme/
But the positive reviews are not lying, from my own experience, most of them are true.
About co-existance with other security apps,I can only say that UnHackMe works with AppGuard,SandBoxie,OutpostSecurity Suite and Sticky Password 6.....no error messages in event log nor BSOD's (on my system) :thumb:

Good Evening! Is there a way to purchase without ordering the Warrior CD...and keeping the price point at $19.95. Sincerely...Securon

According to the website UnHackMe has been updated, but I don't have currently any more info than this:

    http://greatis.com/unhackme/index.html

More than that I don't know at the moment.

Seems to flag up a fair amount of false positives on my machine.

    Malware bytes antiexploit
    hitman pro scanner
    agnitum outpost
    tiny res meter etc

Using the scanner i "probably have a virus"

Maybe it will be ok once you get through all the false positives but hitman pro scanner has less false positives with its Early Warning System.
