I purchased this product back in December '06 and I never had to pay a nickel more for updates since then. Unlike many other security programs that have come and gone -- most notably, and sadly to say, "PROCESSGUARD" -- this one is still being maintained and fairly regularly updated. Yes, the program does slow down bootup, but it has never caused me stability problems; nor have I suffered incompatibilities with other security software through use of it. It is just as serviceable and useful and compatible with my WINDOWS 7 PRO 64BIT OS as it was with my WINDOWS XP PRO 32BIT OS. It covers just about everything that WINPATROL PLUS does and much more, and I am rather surprised that it gets scant little attention in WILDERS FORUM these days.
