    Cheers FanJ,

Had noticed the Beta's already and quite exited by the prospect of an upgrade. Been using Regrun Gold a while now and simply love it. There's nothing quite like it. Shame that i won't use a Beta on my pc. If i had a spare pc that i didn't care what happened to it, then fine i'd install it. But i only have the one, and i need to keep it running. Beta version's can cause problems, as can full release version's!!! But Beta's are more risky.

If you do chance to try it, let me know how you go on.

I've got a RegRun Platinum Edition beta key - been meaning to try it for a couple of days now.

Sounds like a excellent upgrade to gold version

    Hi folks,

I see you guys use RegRun so I thought I would ask a question:

Which edition is better Gold or Platinum? I have been looking at this program for the last two months and it looks awesome. Any info would be appreciated.

    Thanks

    Hi Fan and everybody,

I decided that i might like to try out the Beta and DL'd it, but havn't installed it as yet.

Why ? because there appears to be a conflict between what one description says about the UnHackMe part of the new Program and the stand alone version of UnHackMe !

Please compare the descriptions and pages below to see what i'm referring to. Has the new Beta now got a special version of UnHackMe included that will quite happily run on non XP/NT systems, or is it an error ?

    . . .

    Version 4.50 beta

    Supported Windows 95/98/Me/NT4/2000/XP(64)/2003(64)/VISTA.
    Compatible with Windows XP SP2.

    What's new?

    New! RegRun Platinum Edition.

Platinum Edition includes all features of RegRun Gold+UnHackMe(anti-rootkit)+Bootlog XP.

    UnHackMe

Supported Windows NT4/2000/XP. Compatible with Windows XP SP2.

    Free updates. On-line support.

    System Requirements.

    Pentium 100 CPU or better
Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000, Windows XP or higher.
    Compatible with Windows XP SP2.
    8 MB RAM
1-2 MB of free disk space
Compatible with all known antiviral software.

    . . .

    Thanks

    Hello everybody

The new addition finds rootkits but is not for the home user in current condition.

    StevieO,

I think you may find that Regrun 4.5 beta Gold will run on Win 9x but that Platinum is specific to XP/NT/2000 machines. It appears that the only thing that Platinum has extra is Unhackme and BootXP. Both these will not run on Win 9x machines. But the new version(Beta) of Regrun Gold includes the tools Disinfector, sign checker, support center and a updated protection monitor. Also, all the other security tools have been updated and improved. At least that's my take on it.

    Hi guys,

I finally got the Gold one installed on my W98SE box.
    Version 4.5 beta (4.5.4.790).

I agree with what some of you already posted: RegRun is a very nice program!

For the moment I haven't hardly "played" with it.
My machine is far too old and crappy ...

What I'm not sure about at the moment, is whether you have to buy an upgrade in case you were already a licenced user.

    Hey Bruce,

Care to tell a bit more? ;)
Anyhow, let's please not forget that it is a beta version....

    Yes, it is another version

Now you have PRO and GOLD

If the Beta is released there will be PRO, GOLD and PLATINUM.

But what for what i have seen the last hours, they have changed a lot more
    then the few extra mentioned.
The whole look and feel, Anti Spyware and Anti Virus, under the hood,
    there is a lot changed.
It gives more protection against malware, but i am still testing ...
    ;)
