registry problems need help

    when i go on to the internet i get this

    An Attempt to alter a protected object has been detect.

    i have lavasoft ad-aware pro se, and kaspersky antivirus my computer has slowed down at start up frees up all the time and i get another one of them messages when kaspersky loads up i've run just about every program i can find and nothing seems to help so if someone has an idea let me know, thank you

    You don't say what is giving the message, so I'll guess it's KAV 6's Registry Guard? That particular Key (ie SearchUrl) is used by malware to redirect Internet Explorer's search pages. Here's an example:-

    You should go into safe mode and scan there, otherwise a HJT log may be your best bet.

    It looks like a warning from Ad-Watch(Ad-aware) as i used to have it installed but i could be mistaken.
