    So you're trying to prove that registry is the only obvious difference. Good luck with that.

    Celceo's SmartBox did just this, and was excellent, but sadly the company is no longer around.

    Your quite right of course J L I will show it the door (I think I just like the placebo effect of it.) and rely on windows inbuilt tools and regedit if needed.

    I stopped using this type of program, together with third-party defragmenters, and let the disk cleaner and defragmenter that come with Win 7 run on schedule.
