i have been looking for more answers on how the "point" system works since ive had to re-activate 3 times in the last few days due to upgrades and driver changes.. i am reading all over that many just go to the local store and copy down a key code off a display computer and install using that and then simply call msoft and they give them a activation code over the phone and they are now activated.. im just wondering with as many peopl that say they do this how does this get overlooked by microsoft?? i mean with all this "security" they say they have and control over wga etc that these people get away with this.. makes those of us who paid for our copies mad imo.. i know i spent 400$ in total for 4 computers from new egg for 4 copies of vista premium.. again not wanting to discuss anything illegal just wondering from microsofts end cant they detect this somehow and shut them down?? there are SO MANY people that claim they do this.. will the peopl that buy those machines than not get screwed out of being able to activate since that key is already in use?? makes me think the stores should either remove or at least cover up these stickers somehow.. anyone agree??
