    Greetings,

I want to clone my tablet PC to another brand new one with identical hardware. Would a crossover cable be the best connection method? Or would I get about the same transfer rates across my LAN?

    Hello Netigence,

Thank you for your interest in Acronis Disk Backup Software.

Please accept our apologies for the delay with the response.

Actually, it does not matter how the network is organized. You can use any type of cable which allows you to create a network.
Please be aware that Acronis True Image does not allow you to clone a hard drive via a network using the Clone Disk tool. We can offer you to create an image of the source machine and restore it on the other one. This is the only way which allows you to use the network in order to transfer a system.

    Thank you.

get an external 2.5" usb box, pop the disk out of the "CLONEE", hook it to USB port on the "CLONER", and clone away....
I think that it can clone to an external USB box.....
    Just my two cents.

Actually, I've hooked mine up in the past to a 3.5" removable IDE drive drawer, ahd a 3.5 to 2.5 adaptor, and it worked well....
