Rebuild Partition Table

Hello,
I have some questions about partition table.
Could I use Acronis Disk Editor to save the data of my disk ( partition table...etc ) When something terrible happens, such as all the partitions become unallocolate, I can restore the saved information about my disk and then I can see the partitions and the folders and files in these partitions.
Or these datas always change when I save files into these partitions
If this can be done, then how to do??

In fact, the partitions become unallocolate when I used Partition Magic to
merge. Although I can use R-studio to recover my files, but it still costs
much time. If I can backup the information of partitions, I think it's
easier to recover. Thanks.

 

You can backup the first hard disk track or the MBR. If you use PM, perhaps you already have the tools. Or download head.zip from ftp://ftp.symantec.com/public/english_us_canada/tools/pq/utilities/head.zip.
