I know that for example KAV antivirus is a realtime protection

And AVG antivirus is a resident shield protection.

If for example KAV if they wanted to can they have the both realtime protection and resident shield protection o_O

Resident Shield is the same thing as Real-time scanner.

There are several words for same thing like:
    On-Access Scanner
    Real-time Scanner
    Resident Shield
    Resident Protection
    .
    .
    .

All these mean the same thing, scanning files when they are accessed or moved/copied/created. It's just the naming preference of specific company.
