    Hey...

Someone posted this thread earlier but I can't reply to it, so I'll start a new one.

I do not want V3. I prefer different software. Every time I try to uninstall it it reinstalls itself... This is even after using a program call Perfect Uninstaller that seems to be spammed all over the internet as a solution to getting rid of this program.

Is there a way to get rid of this?
Will PrevX help me get rid of this?

If this is posted in the wrong section of the forum, my apologies.

I'm not familiar with Perfect Uninstaller but it is very likely that using this tool is why Prevx is not being uninstalled properly. The Prevx uninstall routine will fully remove all Prevx components from your PC. If you can try reinstalling Prevx and then uninstall by clicking Start - Programs - Prevx 3.0 - Uninstall Prevx, and then reboot, you should be able to fully remove it.

If that shortcut isn't in place for some reason, you can run the command:

    "c:\program files\prevx\prevx.exe" /prop UNINSTALL=Y

    from Start > Run.

Let me know if you have any further questions!

Hey, thanks for your quick reply.

Im not sure you read my post correctly though.

I am not talking about uninstalling prevx.

I am talking about the possibility of using Prevx to remove V3 internet security, as previously discussed in the link that I posted.

In that link. An individual was discussing how Prevx was recognizing v3 as a threat.... which, what I gather from reading the whole thread, would later be removed by the software company.

However, I do not want V3. Which is why I posted these questions:

"Is there a way to get rid of this?" This being v3 - not prevx.
"Will PrevX help me get rid of this?"

It's not the job of Prevx to remove other security vendors software if this is the one you are talking about! http://global.ahnlab.com/en/site/main/main.do

    yep. that's the one.

Thank you for all your help.

Feel free to message me if your company does create a software that will remove it. I may be interested in buying such a software.

It leaves two two drivers under Device Manager -> Show Hidden Devices -> Non PnP drivers. And these are also still present in registry -> CurrentControlSetsXX -> Enum -> Root -> LEGACY_KEY

I don't remember the exact names. One was called pxscan, the other I don't really know anymore. Obviously it also starts with px

This is created by the operating system itself, not by Prevx. However, this thread is actually about removing another product's software, which of course Prevx would not do.
