Re Backups

    Are Backups more reliable if made by usuing acronis boot up disk versus made though Acronis TI 10 in windows mode.

    Depends on whom you ask. People have different opinions. If both ways work on your computer, then you should get reliable backups either way. I've make backups both ways and haven't had a problem with reliability.

    Backing up from Windows is usually faster that using the rescue cd (sometimes many times faster). Also you can schedule backups if you set it up in Windows. You can't schedule automatic backups from the rescue cd.

    I've done it both ways and both have worked fine for me, as above, backing up inside of windows is faster for me.

    The answer is that there is no difference whatsoever in reliability. In terms of convenience, Windows is far easier to use for backing up as you do not need to reboot your machine.
