Is RegDefend like ProcessGuard? Is it a replacement?

I had thought I recalled that the programmer for DC started his own company. I do not know if that was a rumor or not. But what is the difference besides there are now a few more new products?

    TIA

RegDefend is very different from Process Guard in that it covers changes to Windows' Registry while PG covers process protection (though it has one feature, Registry DLL injection, that does cover a very specific part of the registry).

AppDefend is a far closer competitor with PG since it does cover very similar areas (process modification and termination, driver/rootkit installs and global hook access). AppDefend has some features PG lacks (network access, prompt rather than block by default) and PG has one feature AD lacks (Secure Message Handling).

If you're a processguard user then regdefend would compliment it well.
