Have you ever considered not having spyware in your products? Using the word 'sponsor' does not stop it from being spyware. If I was a software developer I think that I would try to find a way to make income without adding something that might bring my software into disrepute. Spyware is universally despised, as anyone with experience or intelligence knows, that it is there to prey on the gullible, naive or distracted and is (in essence) a sort of trojan/virus.
