    My scenario is this:
While in Snapshot #1, my primary:
    1) I copied/updated Snapshot #2 from Snapshot #1.
    2) I uninstalled ShadowProtect V2
    3) I installed ShadowProtect V3
    4) Had major problems with my PC, so rebooted into Snapshot #2

    Now, While in Snapshot #2:
    1) I created Snapshot #3 from Snapshot #2 in case I needed it
    2) I copied/updated my original Primary Snapshot #1 from Snap #2
    3) In Snap #2, when I bring up ShadowProtect, it is V2 licensed version.

Now, Reboot into Primary Snapshot #1:
    1) This is the original primary where ShadowProtect V2 was uninstalled.
    2) Bring up ShadowProtect, & it is definitely V2
    3) BUT, it asks me if I want to buy now - it thinks it's the trial version & I have 28 days left. However, all of my backup history & jobs are present.

Was it correct to lose the license info in this case on Snap #1?

No. Not if I understand what you did. I'd boot back to Snapshot 2. Make sure it is okay and redo the update and see what happens.
