Question about Avira with W 7.

I was looking at the list of compatible anti-virus software for Windows 7 at the Microsft Social Answers site.
Avira isn't listed.
I would imagine it works with W7 but why isn't it approved?
Anybody have ideas?

I have Avira Premium Security suite on one of my Windows 7 box's it seems to have no issues its been running it non stop the past few months. Only thing not on is the firewall on that computer.


Also that list is NOT always up to date. Alot of manufactures wont make that list right off the bat as the OS was in beta and there official stances is we don't support beta OS's, now that its out it should be updated soon. All in all I would just refer to the manufactures website of the AV's to find out if they are compatible and not Microsoft.
