I've not to much trust in it... The interface is ok, but you can't configure alot... They seem to respond slow on new threats...
Good thing is that the scanner is very fast, and doesn't (almost) eat recources. But if you look at the price, I would recommend you F-Prot instead... Same price, better protection... You can have a look at Arcavir too... I'll review it this week :)

You only have to look at any independent tests to see that all CA products are rubbish. You're better off with Avast free.

Yes. eTrust is a very fast scanner but it has poor unpack support and it didn't feel safe when I used it. Like StyleWarz said, F-Prot, ArcaVir or KAV would suit you better.

  6. Im using the 12 month free trial and Im pleasantly surprised by how easy it is to use, the simple interface and default settings are ideally suited for average non techie users. Its also very light on resources on a par with AntiVir on my slow pc in this regard. It has a normal 100% ITW detection which is the main thing average users look for. Its the least complicated AV Ive used ideal for newbies.

    O. K. I guess :doubt: I did not even keep it 6 of the 12 free months. I just did not care for it. Like BigC always says personal preference.

    Hi mercurie,

Was it the new version 7 you tried, or the old ugly interface one??

  10. The old ugly EZ interface is exactly like the present ugly VET interface. I sent some emails to VET head office in Australia asking them to change the interface :)

I am not 100% sure but I think it was the older version. Not 7. :doubt:
