Q - Compatibility of Image formats?

Hi there,
I bought TI8 on CD a few months ago, it was Build 768. I then updated using the download for Build 826. I have since made a few backup Images.

My question is, if I boot from the TI8 CD (Build 76, will it be able to restore images made with the newer version (Build 826)?

The same question goes for the latest build (I have not yet downloaded it).

There's probably 2 general questions here for Acronis:
a) which versions and builds are compatible?
- that is, for images made by any particular version/build, which previous versions/builds can use those images?

b) should we always make a new boot CD when we update TI to a newer build?

 

IIRC, the "quick" answers are:

a) New builds of TI version 8 are backward compatible with previously created version 8 images. I'm not sure about version 8 backward compatibility with images created with version 7.

b) Recommendation has been to make a new boot CD for each new build.

...other forum members may weigh in with the "hard and fast" answers
