since installing the new nod 2.5.16 it will not update until i put my pw/username in again, now this worked fine with the previous version so any clues would be great, i wonder if i upgrade to the newer 2.5.19 it will fix the problem or is it a
    problem i have created.

If you go to "Control Center" -> "Update" -> "Setup", is your username / password shown?

    Hi Drewm1, welcome to Wilders.

Can you please confirm that you are placing your UN and PW as per screenshots 61 and onwards here. You can not enter your UN and PW into the popup window, it will not be remembered this way.

Your UN and PW must be entered precisely, as given to you by your Reseller or Eset, it is "case sensitive".

    Cheers :D

But why doesn't NOD32 remeber user/pass if you enter it in popup box? Sounds stupid to me. If it offers box to enter user/pass it should remember.
    I don't get it.

Exactly, that is why it has been requested in Future Changes to Nod32, to be a warning popup only; that the UN and PW have not been entered correctly.

    Cheers :D

I actually think that not remembering the password is a useful "feature" - I can use my username/pw to get a client's machine up to date and run a scan while I wait for their username/pw to be emailed to us...

This is what we have a Eval Key for, it allows the clients machine to leave the shop up-to-date and we then email through their UN and PW.

To discuss this further we will need to take it out of this forum and continue in the appropriate forum ;) :D

    Cheers :D
