Although I don't use FireFox, I thought this might be of interest to those who do: PurgeFox (by the developer of PurgeIE and PurgeIE Pro).

Is secure deletion really necessary? I think by just clicking on clear all information the entire browser's cache should be cleared out instantaneously.

I just use the extension called X from here.

I also have jobs set up in Eraser for secure deletion of these, but I don't use it that often :).

And they can be recovered instaneously too :) It all depends on the level of security you want. And I dont mean against law enforcement agencies.

Heck just the other day I was telling a friend how to clear the cache, and he was telling me he read there was ways to easily recover them

*roll eyes* , if this friend of mine who is not tech savy heard about it, I'm sure many normal mortals know this too, so if they really wanted to he could easily google up some braindead application that could recover the cache or any other file.

Personally I would use secure deletion say 3 passes?

Hmm actually my current method of using a bat file linked on the desktop is not so efficient, i suppose i could easily knock up an extension that does what X does, but with secure erasing.

Or even use External Application Buttons maybe..

    Hi iceni60 :).

The Visual Style is called Asuite, and can be found here.

However, I am using a modded version of it called Bsuite found here.

The Firefox theme is called "Smoke" which is available here.

    Regards,
    Jade.
