    Hi

about the firewall and hips , for example in learning mode ,but doesn't matter the mode , nod creates many firewall and hips rules

but many time i run portable programs and after i delele them
    or uninstall some programs

is there a feature in nod32 to purge the old entries , i mean the program that are not more prensent in the computer ?

if not , can someone suggest to eset?
because years after years nod could have a log list of program not more present on the pc

and the impossibility to sort the list of the firewall programs or hips make hard to find the dead entries

    thanks
    cheers

    No but you can:
    1. save current configuration
    2. install the software you want and create the appropriate rules
    3. after you uninstall the software, import the configuration

    thanks but could be...

    i got it

but it could be a useful feature in the v5.x.2 or above, isn't it?

and would really amazing an internal prgram update , i'm not talking about the compoents
download the full version and install over is not the best

nod32 with the avast behavior would be awesome, clean ,if failed , delete, or delete and quarantine

    thanks Macos

In the scheduler, you can create a "check for the latest program version" task, this is new in v5

And for the cleaning, ESET doesnt limits itself to always quarantine, then clean/delete.
It perform checkings on the file as file locked, file type, file name, threat category, cleaning level, etc and based on these conditions it autoselect the best decision.

    Hello,

Your feature request for an option to remove firewall entries and HIPS rules for software which is no longer present on a computer has been passed on to ESET's project management for consideration in a future release of ESET's software.

    Regards,
