    thanks for the article i asume itd be useful for new members not yet informed on securing theyre data , even thou this information has been publicly available for quite some time already ;) , good to see emsisoft catching up

    I was oddly drawn to this sentence:
    Hmmm, I'm pretty sure there's a word missing. Trillion? Quadrillion? I can only assume that the author couldn't decide which one to use and mistakenly left it out entirely.

    Cracking a 128 bit key by brute force would take longer than the age of the Sun even if using all the computers on earth. So, yeah, his "several years" comment is wrong.

    Thanks for letting us know about this. Actually the author wrote that article in German and used "million" but the English translator accidently left it out. :(
