    OFFLINE ACTIVATION

    If by now you have managed to retrieve the GAOTD, you can use this Reg entry for offline Activation.
    For XP SP3: i didn't have any problem so far. Just try for yourself, save the Process Lasso 3.8.txt to Process Lasso 3.8.reg and then run it.

    A lot of garbage in your file it's enough to save these lines:

    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ProcessLasso]
    "ViewState"=hex:f3,95,92,ab,63,b8,62,fc
    "CacheTag"=hex:f8,f8,9e,39,02,e1,18,6d

    Re: GAOTD Process Lasso 3.8

    Well using this REGKEY would definitely activate todays GAOTD :
    Code:
    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ProcessLasso]
    "CacheTag"=hex:F8,F8,9E,19,52,E1,18,6D
    "DateTimeFormat"=dword:00000000
    "Install_Dir"="C:\\Program Files\\Process Lasso"
    "ProxiedUAC"=dword:00000000
    "UpdateChecksEnabled"=dword:00000000
    "ViewState"=hex:F3,95,92,AB,63,B8,62,FC

    Copy/Paste and give extension .reg

    The other Process Lasso 32-bit v3.99.17 BETA available here at Home Page
    I think the User has to register it themselves before 24 hrs:
    Code:
    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ProcessLasso\processlasso.exe\XMessageBox]
    "mtvovMRPJ6bcgc9m3576829"=dword:02000001
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Prefetcher]
    "TracesProcessed"=dword:0000007D
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ProcessLasso]
    "CacheTag"=hex:18,14,C0,6C,0A,D2,06,8A
    "LicensedTo"="Registered User"
    "ViewState"=hex:13,79,CC,DE,3B,8B,8E,1F
    Tried changing the name Licensed to other name, which failed to activate the Beta Product.
    But it is still Beta. :)

    Re: GAOTD Process Lasso 3.8

    I've been using it for about two years now on 3 or 4 of my machines and have gotten my money's worth out of it. I kind of use it as a "muscle man" adjunct to Winpatrol Plus and have gotten good use out of the throttling controls in several situations, for example, taming the MBAM realtime CPU hogging (diagnostically, ended up reverting to on-demand).

    The price of $39.99 for 5 machines, lifetime upgrades, doesn't sound entirely unreasonable to me and my usage but YMMV considerably depending on how much you end up using it.

    Merged pinso's thread into this older thread, combining the discussion in a single topic.

    Is it fair to say that a program like Process Lasso is more helpful on older systems? I have XP on an older computer and Windows 7 Ultimate on a newer one. Would process lasso really make much difference on the newer pc?

    The gui looks like it could be a task manager or process explorer replacement...anyone done that?

    I will try it on a few older machines later and see what difference it makes :doubt:

    My prior commentary applies to 3 to 7 year old machines running Windows XP SP3 with 1 or 2 GB of RAM.
