I'm having problems backing up a drive encrypted with PGP 9.0 Desktop. I wanted to use the Whole Disk Encryption (WDE) on the laptop when I travel and keep an unencrypted copy at home where it is safe. I'm getting can't read from sector X errors and an occasional can't write error. I don't know what to look at next.
    Thanks

If you use the TI bootable Rescue CD to do the backup, it shouldn't matter that you have encryption or not. What version and build of True Image are you using?

Should be true but since TI is unlikely to recognize the structure as NTFS, FAT32 etc it will create an image of the entire partition.

A Files and Folders backup very likely won't work because TI can't make sense of the file structure.

There has been some discussion of encrypted disks previously. Search the forum for encrypt and see if it helps.
