    Hi Everyone:

    Am having a consistent problem with True Image Server v9.1.3832 using a network path as the source.

    This is what I want to do:
    • I have data located at: \\192.168.0.10\data_sd\
    • And I want to back it up on one of my external USB drives (in my case drive letter "T:")

    True Image Server v9.1.3832 keeps coming back to me with the following error message:
    E00040019: Failed to backup file or folder 'data_sd'.

    Failed to backup file or folder. (0x40019)
    Path = "\\192.168.0.10\data_sd\",
    Hints = 1
    Tag = 0xA8A1022BD18AE0D7
    The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process. (0xFFF0)
    code = FFFFFFFF80070020
    Tag = 0xBD28FDBD64EDB816

    Does anybody know why??

    THANKS.

    Hello mr greek,

    Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

    We are sorry for the delayed response.

    Please note that Acronis True Image 9.1 Server for Windows cannot use snapshot technology while backing up network shared folders. Therefore, we cannot guarantee that in this case open files will be backed up correctly.

    If you would like to use Acronis True Image 9.1 Server for Windows to back up network shared folder please make sure that the files/folders are not used by another programs.

    Thank you.

    Dear Acronis:

    Thank you for responding.
    Can you please advise when Acronis expects to resolve this issue.
    It is silly to have a product that is this good being limited in its functionality by files/folders that are open.

    Looking very much forward to a response from Acronis.
