    Sincerely,

I have a problem with the floppy drive of some machines installed when ESET Smart Security and ESET NOD32 v3.0 Release Candidates, once installed the floppy drive is disabled.

When I want to access any disk, I get the following message:

This will be solved once I uninstall the product.

Does it change if you change the Real-time file system scanner to these:

They are visible only if you use Advanced Menu .

Simply press F5 from the keyboard and the Advanced Setup tree will appear

Yes, I have three computers with Windows 2000 and one with Windows XP professional:

    03 PC's with 2000 Professional (ESET NOD32 Antivirus Installed)
01 PC's with XP Professional (ESET Smart Security Installed)

    the problem persists...

    :'(

Well , this is known bug . Users with Windows 2000 don't have access to the submenu "Real time file system protection" so on Windows 2000 you cannot change that setting and you must use the default one , this is with this RC version .

You will need to wait for a future release for your Windows 2000 because it has been promised this will be fixed .

Or you can install ESS on these Windows 2000 machines and try.

Because of the fact in your first post you say that you have a problem with Eset Smart Security (not only with Eset AV) , try my suggestions on your XP computer with ESS installed .

If this is of no help , contact Eset to report this as a bug . Mail to betasupport[at]eset.sk and give them link to this thread
